To sum it up, GameStreet is a social network for online gamers with many resources and tools that online gamers need. Our services range from gaming information, guild hosting, free voice chat software, and customizable profiles for members and their in-game characters. Not at all. Membership is completely free and you will never be asked for a credit card to join. We offer premium services for members and guilds which are monthly fee-based services but they are completely optional.

Registration is simple. Please go to our signup page and fill in your information. You will be sent an email to the address you provide to confirm that your email address is correct.

A profile page is created for you when you sign up. You can edit your profile information by logging into your account here and using the navigation bar on the left to edit all the individual profile sections.

The minimum age allowed by law is 13 years old. Members who are under the minimum age are not allowed to register and should not attempt to sign up. Any members found that do not meet the age requirement will be removed immediately.

Go to your my account page and go to the "My Account -> Account Info" section using the navigation bar on the left side. You will find the "Display Name" field at top of the section on the right where you can change your name.

Any future comments posted on your page will now require that you approve them before they appear on your page. You will be able to review new pending comments on your "My Messages -> Comments" section of this page.

Although we hope you will stay with us, if you absolutely have to delete your account Go to your my account page and go to the "My Account -> Delete Account" section using the navigation bar on the left side. Click the "Delete Account" button to remove your account. But just a warning - make absolutely sure this is what you want to do. This action will also remove any character profiles you have, as well as remove you from any guilds you are a member of. If you are the only administrator of a guild, that guild will be deleted as well.

Go to your my account page and go to the "My Profile -> Change Avatar" section using the navigation bar on the left side. You have two choices - use any photo you uploaded as your avatar, or using a stock avatar from our library of themed avatars. Use the tabs to switch between your photos or stock avatars and simply click the "use as avatar" link below to the image you want to use. If you have not uploaded any photos yet, go to your "My Profile -> Manage Photos" section of this page, upload a photo and choose the "Use As Avatar" option while uploading the photo.

Go to your my account page and go to the "My Profile -> Customize Page" section using the navigation bar on the left side. From this page you can modify the look of your page using CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). If you are not familiar with how to do this, please visit our forums for help from other members that have created online guides for "pimping your profile". In the near future we will be adding a page styles tool which will assist you in making these changes.

You can also add custom sections to your profile home page, aside from the standard sections that appear for your friends list and characters, etc. You can add these sections using the "Custom Page Sections" area of this page. These sections allow full HTML so you can embed pictures, video, stylized text and almost anything you want. Use the "Edit HTML" button to use our advanced editor to help with the creation of these sections.

Go to your my account page and go to the "My Profile -> Manage Photos" section using the navigation bar on the left side. Use the section at the top to upload new photos by using the "browse" button to choose the image to upload, and optionally giving each photo a title. If you need to edit photos once they are uploaded, you can modify them in the images list using the "Edit Photo" link next to each. You can also make any photo in your gallery your avatar by clicking the "Use as Avatar" link next to any photo, or checking the "Use as Avatar" checkbox while uploading a new photo.

Currently our free accounts allow up to 50 photos. You can purchase more space for images by upgrading your account either by spending points you have earned or buying the one time upgrade.

Go to your my account page and go to the "My Profile -> Manage Videos" section using the navigation bar on the left side. Use the section at the top to upload new videos by using the "browse" button to choose the video to upload and specifying the title and keywords. If you need to edit edit those details once they are uploaded, you can modify them in the videos list using the "Edit Video" link next to each.

Currently our free accounts allow up to 200mb of storage for videos. You can increase the storage space for videos by upgrading your account either by spending points you have earned or buying the one time upgrade.

Our video engine supports most of the major video formats such as MPG, AVI, MOV, and WMV. If you have any issues while uploading a video, please contact our technical support staff.

Videos up to 100mb in size are currently allowed. Videos over that size will be rejected during the upload and you will sent to an error page once the upload reaches that limit. If you have a video over that size to upload, we would recommend that you re-encode the video at a lower resolution or frame rate or break the video up into multiple videos.

Go to your my account page and go to the "My Profile -> Manage Blogs" section using the navigation bar on the left side. You can simply start entering your new blog in the editor shown at the top and click "Post Blog" once you are done.

Go to your My Account page. On the left hand navigation under "My Profile", click on "Forum Setup".You will first get a notice that no forums have been setup. On that notice there is a button labeled "click here" to setup your forums. Click to continue. The next page will ask you to name your new forums. You can name your forums whatever you want. Once you have chosen your forum name click the "Save" button. You will then be taken to a page where you can view and edit your forums.

Anyone can use your forums by visiting your profile and clicking the "Forums" link in the profile navigation.

Any member of GameStreet.net can post in your forums.

Go to the profile page of the user you would like to block. Click the "Block User" button on the left hand side under their profile stats. This will block a user from interacting with you in any way on the site.

Those ratings are tabulated daily to determine the most popular members based on average rating and number of total ratings. Each member can only rate you one time, so multiple ratings by the same person will not change your stating. Instead, it may change your rating if they change your rating up or down. You can view your ratings on your My Account page, and you can spend points to eliminate your lowest ratings to help boost your average.

Members gain points by using the member features of GameStreet. The more you interact with others such as posting comments, blogs, forum topics, the more points you will earn. Those points can be used to purchase upgrades to your account, and are in turn used to determine the most active users from a given time period. Points spent will not reduce your position on these boards - they are based on points earned only.

To add someone as a friend, simply visit their profile and click the "Add to Friends" button on the left hand side underneath their stats.

Character profiles allow you to add your character profiles from the games you play online. Some games support the Auto-Update of stats. Your status are Auto-Updated by connected to the developers game servers and downloading your members stats. Members will be able to see your character profile and stats from your main profile page.

You can add characters from many different games. You can view a list of games on the add character page.

A guild is a collection of players who come together to share knowledge, resources, and manpower. To run a large one, a guild master must be adept at many skills: attracting, evaluating, and recruiting new members; creating apprenticeship programs; orchestrating group strategy; and adjudicating disputes. Guilds routinely splinter over petty squabbles and other basic failures of management; the master must resolve them without losing valuable members, who can easily quit and join a rival guild.

Go to your My Account page. Click on "My Guilds" in the left hand navigation. Click on "Register New Guild". Fill out all of the required information and press "Create Guild".

News articles submitted must be reviewed and possibly edited by a moderator. If the article submitted warrants addition to the news archive for this game, it will be approved and you will be notified once it is posted. Inappropriate material will be removed immediately.

Once on this page click on the "Reviews" tab in the game navigation. Click on "Write your own review" in the right hand navigation to submit a review.

So, what is GameStreet Talk™? It is basically the merging of three different technologies: Instant Messaging (similar to AIM and MSN Messenger), Voice Conferencing (such as Ventrilo and Teamspeak), and Social Networking. All this is bundled together to better help gamers keep in touch and communicate while gaming. You can learn more about GameStreet Talk by clicking here.

You can change your online status directly in GS Talk by choosing a preset status underneath your username.

Currently you have to manually change your status to in game. We will soon be adding a feature that will auto-detect when you enter a game and what game you are playing.

Click on the "Add Contact" button in GS Talk. You can then select members to add from your friends list, search members on GameStreet.net, or invite friends.

Right click on the contact and choose "Remove Contact".

Click on the "Add Contact" button in GS Talk. Select the third tab labeled "Invite Friends". Enter the email address of the friend you would like to invite and click the "Send Invitation" button.

To send a message double click on the icon of your friend, a box will pop up allowing you to type a message to them. Type your message and hit send.

You can create voice channels that only you and your friends can talk on. These serve as a central location to interact during your online game play.

Click on the tab "Voice Chat". Right click on "My Channels" and choose "Add Channel". Type in the name of the channel and the description. Choose who can access the channel. Once this is done, click "Save and Close". If you plan on creating more than one click "Save and New".

In GS Talk click on the "Voice Chat" tab on the left hand side. Find the channel you want to edit / delete under "My Channels". Right click on the channel and choose "Edit Channel" to edit, and "Delete Channel" to delete.

When editing a channel you limit who uses your channel by using the "Access Control" section. You can set it so that all your contacts can use the channel, the channel requires a password, or only contacts you approve can use the channel.

All of your contacts can view the channels that you have available.

Guild channels are similar to member channels only they are based off of a main guild. The owner of the guild sets up these channels for all of the Guild members to speak in.

All members of that guild can see the channels that are available to them.

When you create a new guild on GameStreet.net, a channel is automatically created for you.

Your guild channel is automatically created and or deleted as you add / remove guilds from GameStreet.net.

Only users that are members of your guild can use your guild channel. To manage the members of your guild do the following. Go to your My Account page. Click on "Manage Guilds" in the left hand navigation. Click on "Manage Guild" next to the Guild that you would like to manage. Click on "Guild Members" next in the left hand navigation. This area allows you to manage access to your guild and invite new members.

To join a channel simply right click on the channel and select "Join Channel".

To leave a channel simple right click on the channel and select "Leave Channel".

To change the join/leave announcement click on the "Settings" tab on the left hand side of GS Talk. From there you can change what GS Talk says when a member joins/leaves a channel.

To disable the join/leave announcement click on the "Settings" tab on the left hand side of GS Talk. From there uncheck "Enable Announcements". This will disable the join/leave announcements.

The standard limit is 20 but soon you will be able to upgrade to allow more people at once.

To kick someone from a channel, right click on their name and select "Kick from Channel".

To ban someone from a channel permanently, right click on their screen name and select "Ban from Channel".

To change the main volume use the volume slider bar located at the bottom of GS Talk.

To mute the main volume click the speaker icon to the left of the volume slider located at the bottom of GS Talk.

To change the volume of a member in a channel, right click on their screen name and select "Volume".

To mute a member in a channel, right click on their screen name and select "Mute".

In the bottom bar of GS Talk click the "Voice" button. From that drop down menu select "Activation Mode". From there you can select either "Push to talk" or "Voice Activated" mode.

In the bottom bar of GS talk click the "Voice" button. From that drop down menu select "Push to talk key" and then choose "set". GS Talk will then prompt you to press a key you would like to use. Once push a key you will get a pop up notice letting you know which key has been selected.

In the bottom bar of GS Talk click the "Voice" button. From that drop down menu select "Voice Activation Level". From there you can use the slider to set your custom voice activation level.

In the bottom bar of GS Talk click the "Voice" button. From that drop down menu select "Microphone". From there you can use the slider to set your custom microphone level.

To change the color theme click the "Style" button in the lower right hand corner of GS Talk. You can choose the style from the drop down menu.

To change the background image click the "Style" button in the lower right hand corner of GS Talk. Choose "Backround image" from the drop down menu. From there you can set or clear your background image.
